"General " things and ideas
Recently I have been reading the papers, whose keywords are triangular lattice, spin frustration, antiferromagnetic, magnetization plateau, magnetic susceptibility, specific heat, etc.
I have wondered many times, so I have waded through textbooks of basic statistical physics, solid state physics over and over again,
however now I am wondering about several ideas.
Ex. what is " specific heat "??
Because F energy can not be observed by experiment, experimenters often discuss specific heat and magnetic susceptibility instead of F energy.
Then, I wonder why they recognize it as "specific heat " ?
Why experimenters can easily get the volume of specific heat ?
The sentences like this, " to minimize the system F energy, many states are degenerated •••"
makes me puzzled nevertheless.
I suppose to have studied this idea sufficiently in quantum mechanics and chemistry, but I seem
Not to be convinced of it.....?
How long do I doing like this!
I can NOT understand "the general things and ideas " not only in real life but also academic world, ahhhh!
