The concept of "Frustration "
I have contemplated some explanations of the concept of "frustration " .
Although they explain the concept of "frustration " using the specific example of Ising spin system on triangular lattice, I cannot relate Ising spin system with Free energy on the spot.
We should care about the difference between "Potential energy " and "Free energy "!
I have read or heard that even professional physicists sometimes confuse the former with the latter.
1.If there is "frustration " ,
because many spin configurations "become" the lowest potential energy state, the system cannot stabilize itself as single ground state.
2. If there is "frustration " ,
Free energy landscape of the system has several local minimums and the least for several
order parameters.
3. If there is "frustration " ,
Spins cannot become some stable single state, because many states are highly degenerated when Free energy becomes minimum state.
Several people have told me "You study 'Frustration '!? Therefore 'Frustration ' must be in your mind, mustn't it ?"
Oh good grief, actually I can agree with them?
